Lessons from a four year old

My four year old daughter made me a beautiful drawing a few weeks ago – now hanging in my office. The drawing is filled with people of many colors and sizes, dots and stars, rainbow squiggles and endless looping circles, with a healthy dose of pure joy and love thrown in. At the center for the drawing are the words, “I have a dream… That all the people will be nice to each other.” – Hillary Madison Fox

Hmm, makes you wonder why we don’t have four year olds running the show. There would be a lot more milk and cookies involved in conflict resolution meetings. Global cohesion sessions would be held on the playground. High stress dramas would mainly be resolved with a well timed nap. Hmm, pre-schoolers may be onto something.

Peace out – Martin Fox with the Center for Global Leadership.
